How To Use Two Step Verification With Your Microsoft Account

Like Gmail,Microsoft also started two step verification method for their users to secure their accounts.I think this is a great move by Microsoft.This is also known two factor authentication or two step authentication.As from the name it is clear that in this method we used two steps for Login into account.

In Step 1 the user enter his account information like Username and Password provided to him.After this Step the user get a verification code to his mobile via SMS or call.And in Step 2 the user enters the verification code and Login to his account successfully.This is called two step verification method.

How To Activate Two Step Verification In Microsoft Account:

Step 1:Go to https://account.live.com/proofs/Manage.And make sure that you have entered the alternate email address and phone number into your Microsoft account.

Step 2:Click on "set up two step verification process" and then Next.

Step 3:Follow the setup process until you reach in the end and in last click on Done.After that you may asked to enter the verification code then enter the verification code that you will received on your phone.

Hence by these three simple steps your account is active with two step verification process.
